RENCONTRES AVEC LES REPRESENTANTS DES DOUANES DE LA MUNICIPALITE DE PEKIN

In the development of its logistics activities and Sino-European trade, Eurosity organized in Paris and Châteauroux a series of meetings between customs officials of the Beijing Municipality and various French authorities in the matter. 

The delegation was led by Mr. Song Jianming, Deputy Director of the Trade of the Beijing Municipality and also included, Mr. Liu Jun, director of the department for external trade operations, reporting to the Board of Trade of the Beijing Municipality, Mr. Jie Jinyong, Sub Commissioner of Customs of the Beijing Municipality, Mr. Zhao Weizhen Department Director regulatory approvals customs of the Beijing Municipality, and Ms. Li Yanling, deputy director of the Tianzhu free Trade zone.

The implementation of this initiative was made possible through the support of the group Beijing Capital Land, owned nearly 50% by the Beijing Municipality and whose French subsidiary, Sino-France Economic Cooperation Zones (SFECZ) is EuroSity in charge of the development.

In the interviews conducted by the Eurosity teams, Mr. Song Jianming and the accompanying delegation visited the site of Eurosity and the Châteauroux-Centre Airport and met with Mr. Jean-Yves Hugon, Vice President of Châteauroux Métropole in charge of international relations, representatives French customs for the Central Region, and Paris & Co. These meetings allowed to discuss modalities related to the establishment of a customs sub-area within the EuroSity platform and address the specific requirements of the activities e-business that will be implemented in the Sino-European hub.

This series of meetings is also part of the scope of implementation, November 3, 2015, of the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) signed between the EU and China, for reliable operators. The agreement, signed May 16, 2014 between the two partners, provides several advantages for certified OAS Customs simplifications European businesses and Safety Security (OAS F) or OAS Safety Security (OAS S) in their export operations to China and conversely, for Chinese enterprises classified ACE in their operations to Europe.

The entry into force of this ARM is an important step in facilitating trade between the two areas and is a major advantage for reliable operators of international trade in Europe and China.
